Amanda is the sole Barrister and Solicitor of Just Law and Principal of the firm and together with the team at Just Law have wide has ranging interests and experiences that see the firm run on empathy, good humour, real team work and genuine interest in our client’s ultimate wellbeing.

Amanda Kennedy
Having practiced for over 35 years Amanda enjoys the diversity of representing migrating city/overseas clients, rural farmers, families and individuals – young and old – all of whom have different cultures, values and needs. As a general country practitioner, she undertakes all work except criminal and civil.
Amanda is committed to achieving resolution using alternative dispute processes rather than litigation. She is a Qualified Mediator, and member of Collaborative Advocacy NZ.
Katrina Sehmb
Katrina came to work with Amanda in 2002. She obtained her Legal Executive qualification in 2009, graduating top of New Zealand. She is registered with the NZ Law Society and the NZ Institute of Legal Executives.
Katrina’s passion is learning, researching and brainstorming with Amanda to find creative and cost effective solutions to knotty problems. Her areas of expertise are Trusts, Estate Planning, Elder Law and Relationship Property.
Sheralee Carpenter
Having worked as a Legal Secretary for some years Sheralee decided to further her legal career and study for a Legal Executive Diploma. She joined Just Law in 2017 and qualified as a legal Executive in 2018, becoming an affiliate of the NZ Institute of Legal Executives.
Sheralee focuses mainly on conveyancing and she enjoys assisting clients in buying or selling their properties together with any estate planning that ties in with their overall requirements.
Amanda Perrin
Amanda Kennedy approached Amanda in 2016 and offered her the opportunity of studying to become a Legal Executive. She joined Just Law in 2016 and started studying immediately and qualified as a Legal Executive in 2018. She became a registered affiliate of the NZ Institute of Legal Executives in 2019.
Amanda assists Amanda Kennedy with her Lawyer for Child work, Estate planning, Wills & Probate, Enduring Powers of Attorney and some family law work.
